Abstract
Biljana Petrevska was engaged as a Trainer at the International summer school 2010. She delivered two lectures on:
1) Metropolitan environment and the global civil society; and
2) Project management.
Abstract 1: METROPOLITAN ENVIRONMENT AND THE GLOBAL CIVIL SOCIETY
The main aim is to familiarize the participants with the dynamics of decision making and the environmental regulation. More over, the objective is to clarify the interrelation between the environmental sustainability and sustainable development. In this line, the enavitable relation between tourism and environment is tackled. Furthermore, the issue of Integrated metropolitan environmenatal policy (IMEP) is discussed, by elaborating the issues of local government (LG) and the civil society responsibilities (CSR) in terms of effective management of environment. Generally, the accent is put on the general policy principles and the sectoral approach to IMEP.
Abstract 2: PROJECT MANAGEMENT
The main aim of this session is to familiarize the students with the basic principles of project management. In this line, several issues are discussed, like: general policy; implementation; necessity; effects as well as tools.
