Abstract
The project is a collaboration between Cal Poly Humboldt University from California, through the Macedonian-American archaeological field team, and the Institute for Cultural Heritage and Archaeology – Skopje. The project involved multiple institutions, such as Goce Delčev University – Štip, Municipality of Bitola, the National Institution Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments and Museum – Bitola, the National Institution Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments and Museum – Ohrid, and, through a separate agreement with Cal Poly Humboldt University, the Institute for Old Slavic Culture – Prilep. Within the framework of the project, archaeological excavations in Pelagonia and Demir Kapija were financially supported, as well as the First International Symposium on Theoretical Mediterranean Archaeology – TEMA Lyhnida.
