Abstract
Introduction. In everyday clinical practice, deficiency of bone volume is the primary reason for avoiding dental implant treatment. Intramembranous autogenous osseous transplants are the gold standard for reconstruction of the alveolar ridge deficiency. The main aim of this paper was to present case with autogenous osseous transplants due to deficient bone ridge volume.
Case report. A 65-year-old male patient came to our dental office due to the need for full-mouth treatment. After the anamnestic and diagnostic (clinical and roentgenological) procedure, a treatment plan for implant therapy was presented and accepted. Due to the alveolar ridge deficiency where the placement of the dental implant was planned, it was performed autogenous osseous transplantation from mandibular symphysis area.
Conclusion The autogenous transplants like mandibular symphysis is adequate source for a dense quality transplant. This transplant prevents and reduces resorption and make the regeneration faster. Adequate case selection and surgical planning are necessary for successful graft harvesting.
