Abstract
Two colonies were isolated from tomato plants showing symptoms of pith necrosis and labelled as IPc and IIPc groups. The strais from both group are Gram negative, HR positive on tobacco, do not display pectolitic activity and contain no dehydrolyse arginin. Colonies belonge to IPc group had the appearance of a "fried edd" with a wrinkled surface. They will found to be fluorescence, oxidase and Levan negative and belong to the genus Pantoea agglomerans. Colonies from the group IIPc were whitish with a smooth surface and had a high textural shine. They were found to be fluorescence, oxidase and Levan positive, and belonged to the genus Pseudomonas sp.
