Abstract

The problem that is being developed within the project is the increased danger of online radicalization of young people, especially through their activities on social networks and the way they use the Internet (little care in giving and disclosing personal data, readiness for contact with strangers via the Internet and personal acquaintance with them, poor communication with teachers in the school for unwanted experiences online, etc.). There is a need and opportunity for intervention in order to improve the current situation through education of young people and proper communication with them.
In this regard, the key goal of the project is to raise awareness among young people about cyber security at school (and home) and the dangers of online radicalization, through a communication strategy on social media and online events (cyber security days) in schools), as well as through the promotion and distribution of a cyber security guide and Internet use agreements to be signed by high school students (target group) and their parents. By achieving this goal, it is expected that through education and communication with the target group, the danger to young people from online radicalization will be reduced and cyber security will be increased through a better and more advanced way in which they use the Internet and social networks.
