Abstract

The main goal of every enterprise is to be successful, financially stable and to ensure long-term business. Hence in common for all enterprises and entrepreneurs is that they strive to be efficient on the market, competitive and profit. In order to see the degree of achievement of these goals, it is necessary to measure the basic indicators that indicate, firstly, the realization of short-term profit, and then providing the possibility of maintaining a profitable long-term business.
For this purpose, in the literature and practice, large indicators are used, which together with their common name show the so-called. quality of work. Generally accepted and used, both in literature and in practice, are the indicators of productivity, cost-effectiveness and profitability.
The realization of these goals depends on a number of internal and external factors. In order to see the degree of achievement of these goals, it is necessary to measure the basic indicators that indicate the possibility of a long-term business.
In the framework of the paper, we will address and we will only process the indicator of cost-effectiveness.
First we will focus on the theoretical aspects of the indicator, and then on the ways of measuring economics and economic analysis, to finally determine the role and significance of this indicator on the business performance of enterprises.
