Abstract
The ISAF mission of the NATO coalition forces was launched during the 07.10.2001 year as a response to the terrorist attacks that occurred USA during 11.09.2001 year which was clearly responding on the Al Qaeda fighters. Chronologically in Afghanistan were made significant evolutionary development in the manner of military operations, in order to minimize human and material losses on the coalition forces of NATO and to achieve greater effects on the ground.
After the first two years of the presence of coalition forces in Afghanistan, was necessary needed to change something in the way of conducting military operations.
The conduct of military operations in Afghanistan was shaped according to the doctrines of the United States, decisions of Secretary General of NATO and the resolutions of the Security Council of the UN.
The doctrine of the president George Bush (2001-2009) proved as a “Neocon ideology” similar to the doctrine of the former USA president Ronald Reagan during the Cold War, when the sharp opponent was the Soviet Union. Neo-con ideology has proven to be very wrong, because the "global democracy" is promoted in order to represent the USA national interests, including those of military significance.
The doctrine of the current President Barack Obama "DIME" (diplomacy, information, military and economic power) proved very advanced because the goals of these four segments are achieved in the military operations and they are directed towards of contemporary political and military reality.
The Secretary General of NATO Anders Fogh Rasmussen, during February 2010 year launched a new modern doctrine "Smart Defense", which basically effectively uses a military asset of the NATO coalition forces in military operations, with the ultimate aim of achieving large effects on the ground, and efficient use of military resources. At the end of this paper, we will make a comparative analysis of NATO's strategy in Afghanistan after 2014 year, in which we give the emphasis on building authoritative political and military power in Afghanistan which need to take care and security in Afghanistan in the future. Currently in Afghanistan conduct post-conflict operations, with a predominance of military diplomacy interface and comprehensive military, political and civilian entities.
The future NATO soldier will primarily be a perfect military diplomat, who will timely knows to anticipate and solve contemporary security threats in modern military operations.
In the final analysis, we will provide recommendations for possible future negative implications of Afghanistan for the global security.
