Abstract

N.facialis is a mixed nerve composed of motor, sensitive and parasympathetic fibers. His significantly developed- the motor part innervates the skeletal subcutaneous - head and neck minmic muskules, as well as two of the overoid muskules (m.styloideus and venter posterior m.digastrici), and one muscle from the middle ear (m.stapedius). The weaker developed parasympathetic end sensitive part carries a special name nerve- mediated - n intermedius.
