Abstract

The entire MATHCAD Simulation protocol is presented for the diffusional two-step electrochemical mechanism, in which irreversible regenerative chemical reaction is associated to the first electrochemical step, while a reversible follow up chemical reaction is linked to the second electron transfer step. While plenty of simulated voltammograms are provided, hints are given on how to perform relevant simulations of this complex electrochemical model. The EC'ECrev mechanism is closely linked to the redox chemistry of many water soluble redox proteins (cytochromes, for example) and physiologically active systems (Vitamin C).
