Abstract

Designing a system of quality in the travel companies in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia implies a drastic change in the behavior of the employees, radical changes in the organizational establishment, clearly defining the rights, obligations and the responsibilities of each individual which enables the creation of a significant motor force in order to realize the system of Total Quality Management (TQM). In order to build a solid system for providing good quality within a company, motivation as a mutual notion is required for all internal factors which consolidate the intellectual and physical energy, initiate and organize individual activities, give direction to the attitude of the employees and determine the direction, intensity and duration.
This paper presents several principles and strategies which will assist our managers to build the management, which would further on participate in designing and implementing the system of quality so that they would more easily accept the changes and incorporate within the flows of market business where the quality of the service is crucial in gaining customers.
It should be stated that the benefits of the implementation of these strategies cannot be seen immediately but after a longer period of time. Nevertheless, that should not be a reason to recall initial initiative since the quality of the service is a long term process. The benefits of the application are merely to increase the dedication of the top management and the employees to improve the processes but also the satisfaction of the customers, employees, the stockholders, the suppliers, the community as well as the increase of the business results of the travel companies which will serve as a motor force for continuing improvements.
