Abstract

In this paper through a number of representative examples we will have an insight into the presence, the degree of acceptance and the significance of the literature of some classical and modern authors from the Serbian speaking area. Today, this literature is present in the educational plans and programs for primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Macedonia. Children's literature is studied on the Faculties of Pedagogy and Faculties of Philology, included in courses such as "Literature for children”. One of the most common educational-deductive element in the educational programs is the poetry of Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj, the poetry of Ljubivoe Rshumovic, Miroslav Antic, Miomir Milinkovic, the fairytales of Grozdana Oluic, the works of Milutin Gurickovic, the works of Vesna Aleksic. All of these and many more great works from Serbian authors are present and widely read among the children in Macedonia. Undoubtedly, one of the reason being the fact that this literature is close to the spirit and sensibility of the children and youth readers in R. Macedonia.
