Abstract
The name "Adventists" comes from the Latin word "adventus" which means arrival.
Thus, Adventists are people who expect the second coming of Christ. It is a faith that
preaches that Christ will come a second time on earth to condemn the world. At his
second coming Christ will give them the promised reward, which he secured with his
death on the cross, all who throughout history have accepted as their Savior and their
lives have agreed with his commandments.
From the beginning, God intended man to live forever. Now that plan, once
marred by Adam's sin, will finally become reality for all those who took the hand of God
to all who have accepted that wealth immeasurably paid with the blood of God's son, all
who have accepted the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. The term "Adventist"
reflects confidence in the fire of that closeness magnificent event - Christ's second
coming (advent). That belief is confirmed every day reinforces the events that are
happening in the world. They are announced by Jesus himself as signs before his
second coming.
Adventists accept biblical confirmed eternity and importance of all the Ten
Commandments, including the fourth. This command calls the man celebrates God's day of
rest, the seventh day - Saturday. .
