Abstract
School librarian is a specific type of occupation that more or less all encounter
in life, but the job very little is known regarding his skills, abilities and knowledge that
apply to the operation.
Many believe that library work is monotonous and uneventful. But in the
modern school librarian should be a person who would sit behind the bench and his
work be limited to publishing books. Librarians should pay attention to modifying their
traditional services, services that will provide availability in the use of all sources of
information. That means he should be opismenet information, ready to recommend
books and give them the necessary information to users.
So, with positive changes in education, changing the function of libraries and
the more it grows into a library, information and multimedia center. With the work of
the librarian becomes more complex and dynamic that requires management skills.
