Abstract
Large amounts of waste have become problem number one particularly in large cities are directly threatening human health and the environment and indirect pollution of air , soil and water.Man of the urban environment often loses the connection to the consumer mentality nature.Probobly in addition, the distance from the natural environment contributed to postpone the solutions,observations and questions about the treatment of waste a quality manner.Clarifying for sustainable development strives toward quality of life of man (as an individual) and society, which means preserving the environment, and morals.Handling of waste moves towards the establishment and implementation of an integrated waste management and environmental protection.While this should bear in mind the basic human rights (and liabilities) which means the right of citizens tohavea healthy life and environment, right to information and right to participate in this challenge ofdecision.It’s noteasyto answerto this taskif all citizenswere beanigtrained and encouraged to participate in decision-making procedures, management and operation of waste.Today's crisis environment and waste issues, looking more than ever in historythefull attention of all creative potentials.Development of the Republic of Macedonia towards sustainable waste management requires further harmonization of national legislation with the policies of the European union.Changesintheinstitutional organization andthemajor changes in the general practice for waste management are important in the management of waste generated in the Republic of Macedonia.
