Abstract
The question of discrimination, that is to say the prohibition of
discrimination in all its forms, types and expressions, with, has been inserted
in recent times, with seriosness and actuality in legislation, media, NGOs and
in jurisdiction.
The main activities of the International Labour Organization (ILO) are
based on the principles of equality, non discrimination and reduction of poverty. Most conventions, declarations, resolutions, charters, directives and other international acts, elaborated by ILO, UN, the European Parliament, Council of Europe as well as laws adopted by some countries of the European Union highly contribute to the seriousness of the approach towards the – by this time – present and sharp problem. In this work the author is trying to give a modest contribution and to analyze the positive law regulation, that is questions related to: prohibition of discrimination, types and forms in which discrimination is expressed, exceptions of prohibition of discrimination with a special accent to the psychological molestation on the working place (mobbing), as well as protection of rights in case of discrimination.
