Abstract
The Park Mogila is the largest park in the municipality of Prilep. It’s area is 7,5 ha. The unique nature and wealth of cultural resources are a prerequisite for development of tourism in the city. The construction of interpretative and educational paths (eco) tourism in the area and equipment is one of the tools to regulate the flow of tourists at a time and place and manage the impacts of tourism in the park.
Aim of the study is to analyze and summarize information on basic natural components - climate, topography, flora and vegetation, and historical monuments, traditions and architecture that make the park a desired destination for tourism. Focus of this report is to reveal peculiarities of Park Mogila and to identify opportunities that it provides the municipality of Prilep to ensure sustainable development, focusing on tourism.
