Abstract

Building on the first session, this lecture will focus on the specific and pressing issues AI creates for intellectual property law, with a focus on copyright. It will address critical questions like: Can AI-generated content be protected by copyright? Who, if anyone, is the author? What are the implications of training AI models on copyrighted works, and how are different jurisdictions (e.g., EU member states, Australia, China, US) approaching these problems of infringement and ownership?
These lectures will offer students a comparative perspective, informed by Prof. Ampovska's expertise and current research.
