Accent Detectives - A Collaborative Online Workshop between English Major Students at FILUM Kragujevac Serbia and UGD, N.Macedonia

An online collaborative workshop between English language students from Goce Delcev University, North Macedonia, and the University of Kragujevac, Serbia, was conducted via Google Meet.
The session began with a 10–15 minute introduction, after which students were divided into 4 mixed-country groups (4–6 students each). Each group received its own Google Meet link and worked together to answer a set of pre-planned questions about English pronunciation and accents.The activity concluded with a final group discussion on whether the experience changed students’ perception of their own English pronunciation and accent. Thе collaborative activity provided an engaging and meaningful way for students from both universities to explore English pronunciation and accents. By working in mixed-country groups, taking on specific roles, and discussing targeted questions, participants strengthened both their linguistic awareness and intercultural communication skills. The final reflection encouraged students to reconsider their own pronunciation and accent, making the activity both educational and personally insightful.
