Abstract

PoWiFi (Power over Wi-Fi) represents an innovative approach to enhancing sensor efficiency by enabling wireless power delivery using standard Wi-Fi signals. By harvesting ambient radio-frequency energy, PoWiFi allows low-power sensors to operate without physical power connections or frequent battery replacement. This technology supports the development of sustainable, low-maintenance sensing networks and enables passive monitoring in environments where traditional power infrastructure is impractical. PoWiFi offers significant potential for applications in security, smart infrastructure, and the Internet of Things by improving energy efficiency and operational flexibility.
