Abstract
Ferid Muhic, philosopher and writter, was born in 8 June 1943 in Mahoje, Bosnia. He finished college in Skopje. Muhic graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje in 1966. He defended his first master’s degree “Sociological Aspects of Social Revolutions” at the Institute for Sociological and Political-Legal Research at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in 1970. Muhic defended his second master’s degree “The problem of literary motivation in the work of Gѐrard Genette” at the University of Belgrade in 1972. At the same university, in 1980, he defended his doctoral dissertation “Negative Utopia of the 20th Century”.
He started his academic career as Assistant at the Institute for Sociological Research in Skopje in 1970. He entered the Department of Philosophy as an Assistant in 1974. He is a professor of Philosophy at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje until his retirement in 2008.
Ferid Muhic is the author of four poetry books.
