Abstract

This presentation was delivered at the Jean Monnet EUWEB Module 2nd edition on EU - Western Balkan cooperation in justice and home affairs, orgnized by the University of Salerno in partnership with the Unviversity Goce Delcev - Stip and the University of Valona. The presentation speaks about the process of European integration of Western Balkan countries into the EU, in particular as regards to Macedonia. It focuses on the political conditionality of EU's enlargement policy with reference to the dispute between Greece and Macedonia, and the dispute between Bulgaria and Macedonia. The purpose of the presentation is to question EU's enlargment policy
in the sense whether it is a unilinear and impartial policy towards candidate countries or it is a policy influenced by national interests of EU member states?
