Abstract
The year 2020 due to the tremendous Covid-19 pandemic was significant in the global benchmarking of e-government, so the governments are reminded more than ever about the importance and relevance of digital government. Digital transformation is now a critical part of the national sustainable development of many countries. Therefore, this paper aims to identify the correlation and main differences between e-Government and e - Governance, as well as to present case study trough available report analysis about the progress made in the Republic of North Macedonia. The paper includes case study based on exploring the trends and best practices in data science that are of relevance for e-Government development. Also, the paper is analysing the limitations and challenges related to the application of electronic tools to governance, and aims to raise awareness and understanding of the important topic of digital services from government to the citizens.
