Abstract
The aim of this paper is to give an overview of the importance and role of diplomacy in the foreign policy
conduction of the states. The paper will review the Vienna Conventions and the importance of diplomacy in
contemporary political constellations in order to preserve world peace and security. In globalization constellations,
relations between states range from cooperation and integration to interdependence, and this often contributes to the
various forms of organization of states into complex types of states.
