Abstract
This paper attempts to emphasize the necessity for a specialized educational television channel in order to improve the habit of using the media in the free time and in the educational system. The survey covers the views and opinions of parents, educators, teachers and the community of experts. In this paper there is also an example of a very good practice from a specialized educational channel in South Korea. Herewith we present the results of the research in which 1030 parents, 113 educators and teachers, 3 focus groups took place; and 4 interviews with media experts. The results show that: at the moment in Macedonia there I no standardized concept of a specialized content for children at preschool age. The content intended for children is not divided according by age; not specialized in areas; no experts are included in the preparation of the content; too little time is intended for educational content; parents need expert advice.
