Abstract
The school outings and excursions program has an irreplaceable role and place in the extracurricular educational activities, because in addition to rest, relaxation, recreation and entertainment, they represent an opportunity to meet one's desires and needs for acquaintance, information, and knowledge acquisition. other people, social communities, cultures and environments, to establish contacts, dialogue and cooperation on an equal basis and to promote mutual understanding and cooperation. Traveling, first and foremost, gains direct personal experience. the information and knowledge acquired in the school are reviewed and applied.
Tourism is a synthesis of mutual encounters / contacts between tourists and elements of nature, social and cultural environment, during tourist trips and stays. Meetings with nature, other people, cultural and historical treasure offer great opportunity for comprehensive personality development.
Educational institutions should create programs according to the principle: Travel to learn-to-learn to travel.
