Academic 2014/15, University of Minnesota, Twin Cities – Fulbright Scholar. An extremely cold winter for me; normal winter temperatures for my hosts. Warm welcome from Dave, Sue and Melissa. Warm welcome from Jeff and Ann from the Office. UMN among the most prestigious universities worldwide, and the lab of my dreams – Bernlohr Lab. Wendy – always eager to help; Amy – my cell culture guru; Kaylee – delightfully charming and friendly; Ann – my next door neighbor; Dalay, Cyrus, Joel, Jovan, Ajeetha, Arthur, Rocio and myself – cheery little world. Lab meetings and Molecular Metabolism Journal Club. Seminars, lots of seminars… (I learned a lot, indeed). Bun Mi – excellent food, my favorite in-campus restaurant. Trip to Itasca – the most beautiful autumn colors I have ever seen. Visit to the UMN Campus in Crookston – a warm-hearted hospitality. Visit to the University of North Dakota, and the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center! Minnesota Fulbright Chapter: the unforgettable concert in St. Paul; Tom and Ann – St. Patrick’s Day. Extraordinary people, impressive memories, many lessons learned. My sincerest thanks to everyone!
