Abstract
This disease is spread all over the world, especially in countries with developed livestock breeding. The disease often appears in the Mediterranean basin and is the most common zoonosis in the Republic of Macedonia.Objective: The objective of this study is to show the epidemiological characteristics of human brucellosis after the implementation of the measures for eradication of animal brucellosis in the Republic of Macedonia for the period 2008-2017.Materials and methods: Human brucellosis is a mandatory notifiable disease in Republic of Macedonia. The surveillance data presented were derived from the infectious diseases mandatory notification. system.Retrospective analysis of the surveliance data is used in this study to show the results.
