Abstract

Steganography, as a subfield of information hiding, is an art of hiding a message in a legitimate carrier, so that no one suspects it exists. When the carrier is some transmission in communication networks, we speak about network steganography. And when we have a communication channel that can be exploited by a process to transfer information in a manner that violates the system’s security policy, we speak about the covert channel. In this talk, a recent trends and achievements of network steganography and covert channels in the world of Internet of Things and Cyber Physical Systems will be presented.
