Abstract

St Kliment is not mearly an educator and founder of the first Slavic university in Ohrid. Not only was he a good, moral character, but he was also the first ethicist
who laid down the foundation of an original theory in Ethics. It can be concluded that a third out of his more than hundred texts are ethical papers. Hence, we can freely say that St. Kliment is our first Ethicist, the founder of Ethics as a science for Slavic people. This paper will underline that role of St. Kliment and will try to depict the basis of his ethical teaching.
