Abstract

The main subject of this presentationare spa culture andtradition in Republic of Macedonia. In the presentation,the author will define spa tourism and spa products, also the spas in Republic of Macedonia will be classified by the the quality of natural and anthropogenic resources surrounding them, historical development, contemporary situation etc. The presentation will provide statistical data and define the profile of spa tourist in Republic of Macedonia. For the presentation, a research and workshop was conducted between the students in the field of tourism where they give their ideas and suggestions for development of Roman times based spa tourism products and animation of tourist in Macedonian spas. In the end of presentation recommendations for further development of spa tourism products in Republic of Macedonia and Balkan region will be given.
