Abstract

Thermal power plants are constructed of components, especially integrated pipelines, that during the work are exposed at the same time to long-term load (strain), high temperatures in terms of creep, aggressive environment, fatigue and other mechanisms of damage that cause degradation, deformation or cracks, therefore they are limited in the exploitation period.
In order to determine the actual condition of the metal and the reasons for that condition, an assessment of the degree of exhaustion or to give an assessment of the residual life of the parts of the plants, appropriate methods that mainly consist of three phases have been developed and applying: appearance (creation) of cracks, growth of cracks and failure of components when cracks reach the critical value.
The methodologies for estimating the residual life of the components of integrated pipelines in TPP Oslomej for overheated (primary) steam and reheated (secondary) steam are given in this paper, applied in several periods of exploitation including: 87 545, 137 487, 148 128, and 167 460, working hours.
