Abstract
In this paper are shown the results of the mineralogical-petrographic and chemical study of granitoide
rocks from the Kalen locality. The mineralogical-petrographic characteristics of samples that were taken, has
been determined by use of the polarized light microscope Leitz Vetzlar, Germany. The mineralogical composition
was determined by the X-ray diffraction method of the dust samples (XRD) and using scanning electron microscope.
Based on the geological investigations performed on the field and laboratory study of the particular samples taken
from the granitoid rocks from Kalen locality, were determined the following types of rocks: coarse grained granodiorite
and porhpyroidal granodiorite.
Key words: granodiorite; Kalen; mineralogical-petrographic composition; chemical composition; X-ray diffraction;
scanning; electron microscope
