Abstract
This paper reviews the travel book (travelogue) as a literary genre. The research begins by analyzing the many definitions, or at least the attempts to define the genre made by different literary theoreticians. Furthermore, an overview of its topology and classifications along with their features will be presented.
All these critically theoretical deductions will be discussed through the prose works of Tome Momirovski and Trajan Petrovski.
Key words: travelogue, definition, classification, Petrovski, Momirovski.
