Abstract

iPS cells and personalized medicine

Personalized medicine uses patient's genotype and/or level of gene expression for selection of medication, therapy or preventative measures.
One of the best approaches for developing patient specific therapy is to use patient specific cells as in vitro drug testing model. Furthermore, patent specific cells in vitro enriched and modified can be used for autologous cell transplantation for treating numerous degenerative conditions.
