Abstract
Introduction: Qualitative and quantitative status of this industrial water depends on the operation of the flotation in Kriva Palanka, which is in continuous work in the recent years so that it is necessary more frequent inspections to be carried out along with the analysis of these waste waters. The lack and poor quality of drinking water in Kriva Palanka region is mostly reflected as a risk to the health of human population. The purpose of this researche is to analysis of the impact of water pollution on the health. Matherials and methods needed for this study were obtained in collaboration with centers: Medical center – Kriva Palanka and Center for Public Health - Kriva Palanka of secondary level preventive health care and the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Macedonia. Results: According to the conducted water quality analysis it is concluded that the water in Kriva Palanka region varies from clean (1st class) to moderately polluted (or 3rd class). Diseases caused by water pollution and the number of cases is bigger each year, in proportional to the displayed results to growing water pollution. The lack and poor quality of drinking water in this region is mostly reflected as a risk to the health of the population, and is manifested by the occurrence of intestinal diseases in summer, infectious hepatitis, caries in children, increased number of infected calculosis urinary and biliary tract and malignant diseases. Conclusion: Is needed defined strategy and practical steps that will be implemented in order to ensure the availability of clean water for people and nature.
