Abstract
Today in Macedonia as never before there is a need to organize the integrated
management of medical waste. This waste in its categorization belongs to the group of
hazardous wastes at this point his management it’s unorganized and his treatment in most
cases invalid. Resolving this waste should be effectively and economically. This problem
requires a functional system. This in itself represents a challenge. If it is established as soon
as possible such a system, which will not be extra cost to the health insurers, then it will
exclude all possibilities of infection or disease to third parties of this type of waste. By
establishing this system like integrated management of medical waste, occurs and the need
for clear information and education for people who come into contact with him for proper
treatment and handling, as well as education for its selection and treatment. In the end it is
necessary to strengthen the legislation in terms of its complete implementation
