Abstract
Accelerated development of science and technology directly affects the developmentof modern weapons and military equipment. The demand to increase the degree ofautomation in almost all spheres has imposed the need to develop drones and unmannedground vehicles for the needs of the security forces. Unmanned ground vehicles have awide range of possibilities of use in urban areas during army combat operations such asreconnaissance, incursions, destruction of unexploded ordnance, evacuation of injured andsick soldiers, transport and others. The paper presents ground unmanned vehicles, theirclassification and presents certain possibilities of these vehicles in combat operations inurban areas. The focus is on the display of ground unmanned vehicles for the needs ofvarious military units with implemented GIS in smart cities that provide full autonomoussupport in all weather conditions. The advantages realized by the mentioned vehiclesin application are also defined, which are their advantages and disadvantages, and theconclusion is the proposal to implement ground unmanned vehicles in infantry units of theArmed Forces, along with the proposal to improve them to be more efficient.
