Abstract
The application on graph theory to geography has come within last three decade and makes revolutionized the approaches to transport network. Graph theory, a branch of topology is closely related with practice problems in physical and human geography – rivers and transport network, in economy, electricity network, chemistry etc.
This work treats a wide range of transport features with emphasized on the algorithm to resolving the shortest route between two towns for example of Republic of Macedonia.
Road system and rail systems in almost all developed countries are dependent of flow characteristics in transport network. Almost the shortest path sometimes has main role of minimal cost flow path trough network and reduce the traffic jam.
Key words: algorithm, graph theory, the shortest path, road network,
