Abstract

This work provides a MATHCAD Simulation File that can effectively compute square-wave voltammograms of lipophilic redox proteins that undergo an irreversible chemical reaction coupled to their initial electroactive form. The simulation procedure enables the calculation of electrode reactions with varying kinetics, where the rate of the chemical step impacts the characteristics of the computed voltammetric patterns. The entire protocol is freely accessible to all, and the file includes clear explanations of all the parameters employed. This simulation protocol holds particular significance for electrochemists engaged in enzymatic voltammetry research.
