Abstract
In this paper automatic fiber placement method is presented. This literature reviews the entire AFP process from the design of the structure through inspection of the manufactured part to generate an overall understanding of the lifecycle of AFP manufacturing. Also, typical materials dedicated for AFP technology are presented. The advantages and limitations of various system configurations in terms of parts size, parts shape and composite materials are discussed.
