Abstract

Redox Lipophilic Enzymes play crucial role in many physiological processes such as oxidative phosphorylation, in transport of small molecules across biomembranes, in ATP energy creation, in processes of hydrolysis and many more. Very often, their electron transfer is associated with a chemical equilibria before and after the electron transfer step. In this work, we present a large set of theoretical results related to the behavior of such redox enzymes under conditions of square-wave voltammetry. This is the first time that this complex model has been solved under conditions of square-wave voltammetry. Readers can get benefit of the simulated voltammograms in order to understand the interdependence and the complex interplay of kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of all steps involved in this mechanism.
