Abstract
The strategic objective of the project is: to collect, describe and explore the excisting Capsicum biodiversity in the Balkan countries involved in the project (Albania, Bulgaria, FYR Macedonia, Greece and Serbia) related to valuable traits including resistance to pathogens, widely spread and economically important for this crop in the region; to create basic collection of local accessions and the respective database for more detailed and profound future collaborative investigations and breeding programs etc.
