Abstract

In the late antique period there were economic places that directly or indirectly contributed to improving the living conditions of people. These places, such as mines, border crossing points, roads, etc., had great economic significance in the Late Antique society. It was therefore necessary to protect their value, because they were guarded and defended by hostile attacks. Mainly the protection of the economic places in the Late Antiquity was done by building fortifications whose examples from this period are also found in the regions of Malesevo and Pijanec.
