Abstract
The article deals with the struggles for implementing the teaching of Macedonian history in Bulgarian schools as a separate subject and as the history of separate nation. Various complications, forms in which it was studied, and its abolishment are reviewed. The background of political events which had a direct impact on the subject
is also included.
