Abstract
Eighty years have passed since the birth of the famous Macedonian composer and pedagogue Tomislav Zografski (1934–2000). In his work, it is equally significant interest to almost all genres and forms inherent in musical works of the XX century.
Analytical and theoretical view will be on his compositions inspired by the Macedonian church tradition: Zapisi, Pohvala Kirilu i Metodiju, Duše mi vzdihni, Molitva, Vižd moju skorb, Sijanijem and Svjati bože. As a constructive base in these compositions is used church Slavonic text.
Through them Zografski reflects the internal need of the common man of prayer, repentance and forgiveness. Thus, he completely fulfilled his debt to the Macedonian national spiritual culture.
