Abstract
The subject of this paper are sites from UNESCO World Heritage List located on Balkan Peninsula. This list is being reviewed as a factor for tourism development on the Balkans. The paper presents basic data for Balkan countries regarding the population figures, territory, foreign tourists arrivals and sites included in UNESCO World Heritage List. There is a review done over the sites grouped by country and their significance regarding attraction of foreign tourists.
