Abstract
Students show great interest in the process of foreign language learning using the film as a teaching tool. Some language teachers believe that watching movies is a passive activity and cannot help students to learn foreign language. But new didactic theories confirm that it is much easier to learn something if you feel pleasure in learning it. So we are able to learn by watching movies we like. In students’ eyes, the film is "more natural" than the usual foreign language textbook dialogues. The film is helpful for learning a foreign language not only because it is in fashion or because the students expect kind of fun during the class but also because the film stimulates communication. After watching a movie, it is difficult to refrain from the need to share our emotions, impressions, ideas and opinions with others, and when we need to communicate then inevitably we use the language.
