Abstract

The aim of the study is to determine the risk factors that have an affect on the occurrence of DS, the needs for improvement of the record of children with DS and the role and importance of the centers that take care of these children, their treatment and rehabilitation. According to the data used and the survey conducted with several parents and staff in day-care centers (in Macedonia) for children with disabilities and with several special education teachers who work with such children, but who are enrolled at school in normal classes, we concluded that the first and foremost the record of the children with DS is with startling effect, and followed by incomplete care and strategical integration of these people. We concluded that must forming a team to monitor these risk children, a team that has already been set up across the counseling center for young children in all medical center, the recording and monitoring of children with DS will improve significantly.
