Abstract

This paper presents research of the geophysical fields and characteristics of the
Republic of Macedonia. Territory of the Republic of Macedonia consists of lithological formations of different age and composition, which present complex tectonic structure. The dynamics of this area through the geological evolution, i.e. permanent present pressures from vertical and horizontal direction with multiple recovery and different
intensity, affected today’s structure units to present relicts from different segments of the Earth’s crust. Intense magmatic activity, repeating in the geological history is followed by the tectonic phases with variable intensity. Appearance of the igneous rocks in the
areas with complex tectonic structure makes the genetics investigations of the processes and their mechanisms more difficult. These processes are closely related and influenced by the natural physical fields: magnetic, gravitational, thermal and seismic fields.
Magnetic anomalies reflect the influence of the structures composed of igneous rocks with different composition and origin, and gravitational anomalies represent total influence of the structures.
