Abstract

Molecular biology and computer science are complex fields whose terminology and nomenclature can be formidable to the outsider. Bioinformatics merges the two fields, and adds a healthy dose of statistics, combinatorics, and other branches of mathematics.
At the beginning, we will give a survey and comparative analysis of existing algorithms and tools for sequence alignment, multiple sequence alignment, marking of the genes, expression of the genes and proteins, recommendation algorithms for collaborative health care, etc. The aim of this project is to develop a new algorithms for DNA alignment, search and clustering, new recommendation algorithm for collaborative health care and use of different meta-heuristic algorithms for biomedical engineering applications. We plan to create a software library that will consists of existing and new designed algorithms.
